How have you even come to this conclusion?
Could it possibly be that the images we have seen on our TV's since 2001, the ones where the US and the UK roll in to Afghanistan and Iraq, blowing the place up as they go, promising it'll be sorted by Christmas have done more to turn minds away from society and in to the arms of those cowards who would rather someone's child get some C4 and blow themselves up? It's no secret that the rates of terrorism, the number of attacks have increased dramatically since the war in Afghanistan?
And what about the continual bombings in Iraq? The bomings in Pakistan? The bombings in Turkey? All these bombings coming from ISIS (or insert other terrorist organisation here), funded in part by the idea that the US, UK, EU could help topple Assad in Syria by giving the "rebels" guns and ammunition? Where's that gone? To ISIS, like those who opposed that action said would happen. And what happened there? Oh look, 2/3 years on Assad is still there, the rebels are still fighting, ISIS still blowing up mosques, temples, hospitals, women, children, men etc. Oh it's OK we'll drop bombs from the sky, that'll solve the issue. What's that? ISIS selling oil to Turkish oil companies that Ergodan's sons control? And Turkey being a member of NATO? Oh, I'm sorry that must be a conspiracy, my mistake.
And what about the state of Iraq and Afghanistan? The heroin problem Afghanistan has exploded, resulting in their youth succumbing to that shit and not rebuilding the country they were born in to and had no say in its future.
But no, it's obviously the woman on the beach in France wearing a burkini, the number of muslims from lots of different countries, coming to the UK or to the US causing all of this hell. It's obviously all those curry houses you frequent after a long night on the beer funding these terrorists. It couldn't possibly be a society that accuses or judges a muslim that lives in the society of being a terrorist just for wearing some cloth while walking in to their place of worship that is the problem?
Just strikes me that the same old crap has been thrown at the Irish for the last 30 years. The story's the same, just the colour of the skin and theatre is different.
Every day, something like this gets posted on to The Reg, and every day some dick head who's gotten bored of wanking off to Katie Hopkin's vile rhetoric posted proudly on the Daily Mail have to come on here and spout their vitriol against a group of people they know feck all about and plenty of it.

Ultimately politicians will do what they think is right for either themselves or for those who give generously to their party. If an individual who has enough money, or enough influence, wants something to happen via the political process then it will happen.
Before the (now standard) vitriol against the EU starts the the flag of Brexit is thrown up the flag pole again, remember that this process happens in all governments around the world. It's called lobbying. I think everyone here will remember Peter Mandelson's holiday with David Geffen which led to a "hard line" against the copyrighted material on the internet, and the lobbying of eCig companies to the government to allow them to advertise in the media as they were an aid to stop smoking, not a replacement for smoking. It happens in the UK government, it happens at the EU, it happens in the US.
It happens everywhere.

A journalist attended one of his talks today (which was about the NHS), and decided to make a name for himself by asking this question to him when, really, it wasn't the time or place.
Anyway, Corbyn went through what happened. He was offered an upgrade to 1st which he declined, and the train manager found an unoccupied seat for him and his wife elsewhere in the carriage. He wanted to sit with his wife, so finding two unreserved seats next to each other wasn't possible.

I'm afraid you're wrong, plenty of stills from the CCTV show other peoples faces unblurred. Either that or my eyes are exceptionally strong today. And if the seat is reserved, and there isn't an unreserved seat - barring spending more money on a 1st class seat at the expense of the tax payer - is he still lying because he choses to sit on the floor rather than go 1st class? It happens daily, and the genuine issue of people sitting on packed trains is being overshaddowed by a company with a lot to lose if a Corbyn government ever came to power.

The seats were reserved for other people. So what would have happened if Corbyn sat on the reserved seats - which weren't reserved for him - and someone came on the train? "Corbyn sat in my seat when he hadn't paid for it" etc etc.
The further issue with this laughable saga is that Virgin Trains released the CCTV images, which are against the rules.
Finally, Virgin Trains haven't exactly came out and said the whole sitting on the floor thing doesn't happen on their trains. You can see in the video other people sat on the floor and not on seats. So yet again the public is duped in to believing what it's told via the presses of Murdoch & Co?

I went in to an Eddie Bauer once in Toronto on holiday, I was killing time until the Baseball shop opened to get some tickets. Anyway, got chatting to a lovely girl there who asked me if I wanted to go for a drink. I politely declined as I didn't think my girlfriend - who was with me on the trip - would appreciate me going on a date with another woman.
But I think back on those times and I realise how lucky I am. Imagine if it was just a tactic to get me to buy something from the store? "You're awesome, let's go for a drink! I think this shirt would look amazing in the bar I want to take you to.."

Since we voted to leave the EU, what good has come of it? None of the idiots who wanted to leave are now around to actually see through what they wanted. Sterling is tanking against the Euro and the Dollar. Countless businesses etc have either halted their expansion plans or removed their interests from the UK since then. What's the result of this? Where is this promised land we've been told we would get? Has the NHS improved or be improved with the £350 million a week that we'd suddenly have free OHHHHHH Hold on that's not actually true was it? No, the NHS won't get £350 million a week because of us leaving the EU but it will get TTIP! Joy!

I've only ever used a Black Cab in London once, but when I did he got lost.
However, I'd rather the Black Cab than Uber. I have used Uber in Birmingham and it's pot luck really as to what car you get. I've had a lovely trip, once, in a Mercedes and then every other time it's been in a delapidated Toyota Carina E or a Vauxhall Zafira - both cars actually fail to meet Ubers own guidelines. And I wont mention the one Vauxhall Zafira a friend got in to that had on one side the Uber sign and right next to it the sign for a local cab company. Again, against Ubers rules.
To top it all off, after a night out, you can haggle with the taxi driver about the cost. With Uber you either pay the "surge charge" (I think that's what it's called) which will be over inflated to hell, or you pay whatever rate they think it'll cost going by the miles. I would rather haggle with the guy:
"How much to go to X?"
"It's on the meter"
"But how much is it"
"It'll be about..... £20"
"It's just one stop over there, I'll give you £10"
"No no £20, £20"
"£15 then?"
"OK"
Try doing that with Uber.

While I would love to agree with this, I can't.
The idea that Apple will do away with the headphone port won't disuade sales for the owners who have the money to buy an iPhone in the first place. Why? Remember the fuss there was over moving from the old iPhone/iPod connector to the lightening connector? Well sales didn't suffer. People who wanted the new phone just simply went out and bought the accessories to make it work and either mothballed their old equipment or sold it on eBay to offset the cost of the new items.
Remember too that Apple now own Beats, and well anyone who even thinks it's a great idea to spend £300 on a set of Beats headphones instead of a pair of Bose, Audio Technica, Sonos et al, well they deserve everything they get. You can't be envious of someone who has enough money to put price and status value over actual audio and build quality can you?

There is of course. What I was getting at in a very bad way was imposing what you believe to be right is wrong. Vegetarians/Vegans/Fruitarians make the decision, daily, to avoid animal products. They're entitled to if that's what they believe. My problem is that those who decide their child should be brought up the same way aren't doing their child any favours. I don't see a problem in a Vegetarian or Vegan providing their child with a balanced diet consisting of meat as well as vegetables and at an age that is appropriate where they can understand what is being said, you can then tell them where the carrots come from and where the lamb shank came from.
To me it's a lot like the time on one of those trash shows where the mother didn't let her children eat yoghurt because she thought it was disgusting and just rotten milk. You're preventing the child from learning and experiencing different food groups.
You may not agree with it, but your child won't agree with you on your choice of music either. So why dictate to your child what they can and can't eat when they have absolutely no idea about the reasons why?

Boils down to the old scenario of parents doing what they think is best for their children, only for the children to think their parents are wrong and make different choices, which they then impose on their own children, who in turn think their parents are barmy and decide to make a different choice, which they then promote to their own children etc etc etc.
Let your children make their own decisions based on their own beliefs and feelings. Otherwise you become what you hate.

It's clients like this that really, really make me question myself why I still bother working in IT. Every day that goes by it gets harder to justify it. My sole reason for continuing being a developer is that I have a mortgage to pay. If I didn't have that, I'd be working behind a bar. Quite possibly the best job I've ever had, regardless of the hours.

The problem with that pop up window is that people who know about computers will know it's a pain in the ass, but they'll have gotten their software from a trusted source.
People with no idea about computers will click OK to anything because they know that's the only way to install the thing they downloaded.
There is no patch for human stupidity, but there may be a way to alter their MBR?
