How long can I try it?
Your online demo will be erased after an hour. You can always start a new one if you need more time though.
Your local installation does not expire. You can try it as long as you want.

Does the trial mode have all features?
Yes, there are no hidden or disabled features during the trial. You get a fully functional Kirby installation.

Can I install it on a test server?
Yes, you can install Kirby on a private test server for free and check all requirements there. "Private" means the site must not be publicly accessible, for example a server in a network with restricted access or a staging site protected by a password that only a few people know. As soon as your site goes public, you need to buy a license.

Can I disable the activation banner in the Panel?
Yes, you can disable the banner by purchasing and activating a license 😉

When do I need to buy a license?
Make sure that Kirby works for you first. We want you to be happy. You can develop your project locally or on a private test server for free, for as long as you need. Once your project is ready to be launched publicly, buy a license and activate your installation on your live server.

Can I edit templates in the online demo?
No, you cannot edit any of the configuration files, templates, snippets or any other part of the online demo code. The online demo is all about exploring the Panel without having to install Kirby first.
