The global Food Security Cluster will be hosting a session, open to all global partners to discuss “ People left behind in 2026: ,lessons learned from 2026 HPC and the overall data ecosystem to identify gaps in data coverage”. The overall objective of the session is to bring awareness on the number of people left behind from assistance due to hyper-prioritization and to discuss modalities to ensure that much needed support is extended to these affected people. The Food Security Cluster Global Partners Meeting will be held in Rome, on November 11-12-13, 2025. The first day of the meeting is dedicated to working groups discussions on Agriculture, Cash & Market, and Anticipatory Action. Following up on the Cluster Coordinators’ workshop, a session was organized to discuss recommendations and best practices on the coordination between FSC and CWG and the linkages between food security assistance and MPCA. The new cash coordination model was endorsed by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) in early 2022 to improve the predictability, accountability, and effectiveness of cash and voucher assistance (CVA) in humanitarian crises. Humanitarian system is failing to comply with needs in shock affected areas. Low funding push clusters in prioritizing humanitarian needs but we are unable to reach most vulnerable with complete package of assistance. Scope and boundary setting will reduce numbers for humanitarians but who will take care of those needs is not clear. We need to establish a case for humanitarian and development partners to work together in addressing unmet food security needs. The retreat and training provided the opportunity to reflect altogether on the role and functions of the Information Management Officer of the Food Security Cluster, and to share knowledge on how to carry out these functions in the most efficient and effective way. The next Cluster Coordinators' Retreat will be in person, and it will be held in Rome next February 20-22. Please note that: The retreat will be in person (no remote participation). As the number of participants is limited, the global Support Team will review the list of interested participants to ensure maximum representation (geographical scope, gender, etc.). We will prioritize the participation of national staff. Please get approval from both Cluster Lead Agencies. While it is primarily organised for cluster coordinators and co-facilitators, it can be open for some information management
