I bought the cheapest Windows 11 laptop I could find on Amazon for overnight delivery and installed Linux Mint on it.

I want to say this up front, I love linux mint. It handles almost all the gaming needs I ever wanted. It can handle office issues with no problems at all. I have no issues with video playback. It can be configured to look however I want it to. I had a few small issues when I first set up, but the community here and else-ware where Wonderful helping me out with them all. but...

The updates. Look i get it, keeping a system updated is important. But OMG, I get updates 4 or 5 times a day. I have set auto-updates to run in the background, but it has not really cut down on the number of them . I do an update every morning when I log in the first time. then do anther one when I get home from work, then normally a 3ed update just before I go to sleep.

Then again the next day. And it feels like EVERY single day. I know, its a small thing, nothing more than an annoyance really. And I'm happy that the system works hard to keep ahead of all issues. and again I'm just venting on a minor issue.

But *@(&#@ its almost CONSTANT.
