Village Builder

A simulation game where you can plan and develop your own village by interacting with its citizens.

Through this project, I learned to depend on event-based, asychronous programming, which helped maintain code organization as the project scaled in complexity.

About Me

I’m David Rios, a sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science at Columbia University.


I enjoy stumbling upon new technologies and finding ways they can be used to create cool things.


Throughout middle and high school, I created various web apps and game demos as my interest fluctuated between web and game development. I took a particular interest in web development coming out of high school, as I realized how much potential it has to solve problems on a wide variety of devices given its ubiquity.


Since then, I have been developing more comprehensive Electron Apps, Chrome Extensions, and Web Apps, learning how to create useful, minimalistic UI and clean code in the process.
