Let's make it the best place for people looking to make a career in Linux
A Facebook community group for Linux users. You can post your questions, ask for support, share news, interesting things and opinion about Linux in general.
Read the guidelines before posting: All the posts are moderated before they are allowed to be published. If you want your post to be published, please follow these guidelines.
-Don't post "thank you for letting me in the group".
-Don't post things that are not related to Linux. We are not interested in religion, politics or looking at puppy pictures here.
-Do search Google before you seek help here. Chances are that your problem(s) already have a solution on the web. Do search the group as well.
-When asking for help, provide as much information as you can. Your distro, screenshots etc.
-You are welcome to ask for opinions about best distro/DE etc. But if there was already a similar post in last few days, chances are that it won't be approved.
-Do write your queries in ENGLISH only. Don't worry if your English is not good or if you don't know it at all. Most of us here are not native English speakers. Use web-translators, if needed.
-Don't post 'deals', 'offers' and affiliate links. Such repetitive posts may result in a ban.
-This is not your blog post dumping ground. Don't just put a link and run away. You can share your blog posts but occasionally (and if something similar was not posted recently).
-You are welcome to share Linux related important articles from around the web.
-If you are being harassed or abused, do contact the group moderators, with screenshots and link to the disputed post.
-Avoid using cuss words.
-Be respectful to other members. What you think is absolute basic may be absolutely new for someone else. Don't go mocking people. Remember that not everyone is an expert of everything. A Linux newbie might be a very good programmer or a painter or an excellent plumber. Mutual respect is the way forward.
-Don't trick someone in writing malicious commands, even for fun. Strictly no rm -rf / type of jokes. This will lead to a ban.
