Projects to be done:
  • ESP32 to flash ATMega µControllers. I made it already with a RPI0W + avrdude, but it takes too much time to boot. Projects: OTA_update_AVR_using_ESP32, adafruit_avrprog for Cricuitpython
  • Compiling an ESP32 Image with USB-Host support, to be able to attach a game pad to the ESP32 [Preparation: https://chatgpt.com/c/6763fc21-2a94-8003...904f5682f3 /German)
  • Learning PCB-Design with KiCAD
  • Write a Demo-Program like a PLC program for an ESP32 to control an 3-Axis-Model (for teaching) and the possibility to control it with a game pad.

  • Adding the capability to control the 3-Axis-Model without a PLC. Instead, using the provided WiFi (and LAN maybe) of the ESP32 to control the model with different standard-protocols like Modbus, MQTT and OPCUA.

I do not want to use C and try to stay with Micropython/Circuitpython.
If you're a beginner, you should use Circuitpython, because they have a better support for devices and more documentation. Some features are only implemented in Circuitpython like CAN, I2CMaster, SPIMaster or a MP3Decoder.

Circuitpython is a better option for beginners because it has more documentation and greater device support. Certain capabilities, such as CAN, I2CMaster, SPIMaster, or an MP3Decoder, are only implemented in Circuitpython. Link Removed

Because CircuitPython has more documentation and better device support, you should utilize them. Certain functionalities, such as CAN, I2CMaster, SPIMaster, or MP3Decode, are exclusive to CircuitPython.
