PathPing è un programma di utilità di rete fornito in Windows NT e oltre che combina le funzionalità di ping con quella di tracert .

Esso fornisce i dettagli del percorso tra due host e le statistiche ping-come per ogni nodo nel percorso sulla base di campioni prelevati nel corso di un periodo di tempo, a seconda di quanti nodi sono tra l'inizio e la fine di accoglienza.

I vantaggi di pathping sopra pinge traceroutesono che ogni nodo viene eseguito il ping come il risultato di un unico comando, e che il comportamento dei nodi è studiata per un periodo di tempo prolungato, anziché il valore predefinito ping campione di quattro messaggi o predefinita traceroute traccia percorso singolo. Lo svantaggio è che ci vuole un totale di 25 secondi per hop per mostrare le statistiche ping.

Options:
   -g host-list     Loose source route along host-list.
   -h maximum_hops  Maximum number of hops to search for target.
   -i address       Use the specified source address.
   -n               Do not resolve addresses to hostnames.
   -p period        Wait period milliseconds between pings.
   -q num_queries   Number of queries per hop.
   -w timeout       Wait timeout milliseconds for each reply.
   -P               Test for RSVP PATH connectivity.
   -R               Test if each hop is RSVP aware.
   -T               Test connectivity to each hop with Layer-2 priority tags.
   -4               Force using IPv4.
   -6               Force using IPv6.
