All of this is irrelevant. Bliar told us all of the above was true. It wasn't. He lied. Thousands of people died and got maimed because of his lies. This wasn't done in error. He lied.
The UK bases (GCHQ listening posts) on Cyprus are UK territory. So Saddam's rockets - if they existed - would have been able to hit the UK even if they couldn't get as far as the English Channel. Not that this mattered to UK mass media which was happy to unquestioningly regurgitate Bliar's lies.
BTW, there were/are many in the intelligence world who knew Bliar's bollocks about WMDs in 45 minutes were lies. Remember David Kelly's suicide? Much of the truth emerged in the post-war Chilcott inquiry. Key findings included: "There was no imminent threat from Saddam" and "Blair deliberately exaggerated the threat posed by Saddam Hussein" - in other words, he lied.
