In a variant the title is entirely typographic (a trial version?--STC) and reads: The cronycles of Englande and of dyuers other realmes: breuely compyled with the pyctures and armes of all the kynges of Englande syth the conquest
Signatures: A-E⁶; ²A-F⁶ G².
Title within horizontal rows of woodblock vignettes; first line of title is xylographic ; initials

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound by Riviere & Son in brown morocco double-panelled in blind. The title is stamped in gilt on the spine. A ca. 18th-century bibliographical inscription is present on the verso of the final front flyleaf. Numerous leaves are partially and expertly remargined, including A1, D1, E2, and F3-G2. In some cases, losses to edges and corners of text are replaced in facsimile. Early marginalia, in a ca. 16th-century secretary hand, is present throughout, and an early inscription on G2 verso reads: "... that in the yere of owre lord a MD&XXXViijth & in the reyne of owre soveraynd lord kynge henrye the viiith the xxxth yere the xiiith daye of maye was the maryage of master Crystoffer hadley to the dawghter of master Gilles hyll called ane".
