In the last year, broad cuts to the agencies and mechanisms that fund scholarship in the U.S., have crippled the work of scholars. But in solidarity, we have collectively come together and developed ways to carry on that work

Successful teams capable of overcoming adversity are more than a collection of talent and expertise.

Talent is definitely part of it, but talented people need to gel together, forming a culture built on trust and mutual care for each other, not just successful outcomes.
 

When things go sideways, the one thing people need more than anything else is the belief that we are all in it together and that we have each other's backs, no matter what. You can't always prepare for the hard times, "but you can bring in the people with the right stuff, treat them the right way and try to nurture" a winning culture.

H-Net survives, and thrives, because our team has a mutual, unshakable faith in each other, and in the indispensability of each member of our team.

But most importantly, H-Net thrives because of you.

H-Net Reviews and H-Net Journals continue to support publication free from ideological overreach and censure.

H-Net Spaces is a free service that provides scholars in the humanities and social sciences with the tools to manage and build digital academic projects, and we are already receiving applications from scholars whose existing funding and digital infrastructure have been taken away.
 

The H-Net Job Guide has been rebuilt, fully integrated into the H-Net Commons, with broader employment representation and custom settings for a more personalized job seeking experience.

This is an opportunity for H-Net to rise to the occasion and support the scholarly community in old and new ways. As we open our recurring donor campaign at the beginning of our fiscal year, for the cost of a monthly streaming service, you can support those efforts as a contributing member of the H-Net Community.
