NBC‘s drama pilot Blindspot has hit the casting jackpot, landing arguably the most heavily pursued actor and actress this broadcasting pilot season as its male and female leads. Strike Back and 300: Rise Of An Empire star Sullivan Stapleton is set as the male lead opposite Jaimie Alexander in the project, from Warner Bros. TV and Greg Berlanti Prods.
The pilot, written by Martin Gero and directed by Mark Pellington, chronicles what happens when a beautiful woman, Jane Doe (Alexander), is found in the middle of Times Square in New York City with her memory wiped and no clue as to what the extensive tattoos on her body mean. Stapleton will play FBI special agent Kurt Weller, the leader of an elite FBI unit. He is called in from a mission to investigate the woman — who has his name written on her back.
Stapleton, repped by WME and United Management, fielded a slew of pilot offers before settling on Blindspot. He next will be seen in the final season of Strike Back on Cinemax and features Kill Me Three Times and Cut Snake.

Yeah, anonymous, people said that Empire would fail too. But, it became a big hit.
